Arsenal 14U Rise Up as Best in the Bay Martinez, CA – The Grassroots 365 Circuit made its first NorCal stop of the fall season this past weekend. With some of the best teams in the Bay Area competing in the event, expectations were high; and of course, the Bay Area teams did not disappoint. Both Team Arsenal 14U and Flight Elite 12U stood out as some of the best teams we have seen this season and both expect to compete for the G365 Cup as the season continues. Team Arsenal 14U has been on the rise since early last season. Although they placed 2nd at the G365 National event this past summer, it was obvious the team would make a run at the G365 Cup this season. At the Battle of the Bay, Team Arsenal went 5-0 with victories over G365 Cup contenders Lakeshow Elite and Jus B Tuf. Team Arsenal’s championship roster and G365 top five team includes, Nathan Noranha, Tyler Jones, Billy Ladd, Cole Jones, Marcus Robinson, Andre Blakrey, Jamari Widemon, Chase Johnson and tournament MVP, Dylan Ennis. The 8th grade All-Tournament team also included Jamari Phillips from Jus B Tuf, Dylan Mansour from Flight Elite Black, Jackson Young from Lakeshow Elite, and Ardarious Gates from Lakeshow Elite Black. In the Silver Division, Lakeshow Elite Black defeated Legacy Academy to earn a Silver division invitation to the Winter Challenge Cup. In the 7th grade gold division, one of NorCal’s best, SF Soldiers, defeated G365 top 15, Port City 46-29. Kellen Hampton who is on the G365 Player Watchlist earned 7th grade MVP honors. The 7th grade All-Tournament team also included, Dylan Youngquist from TVB Blue, Anthony Moore from Port City, Amall Wahadi from Jus B Tuf, and Jordan Davidson from Flight Elite Black. In the silver division, TVB Blue defeated Cali Ballers to earn a Silver division invitation to the Winter Challenge Cup. The 6th grade gold division provided us the opportunity to see G365’s Top Ranked team, Flight Elite Black. The team’s championship roster includes, Ezekiel Walker, Elias Obenyah, Peyton Beid, Tyran Stokes, James Williams, Merek Mastrov, Mason Zennedijan, Steven Barnett, Joseph Hammond, and 6th grade MVP, Brandon McCoy. The 6th grade All-Tournament team also included, Parker Spees frm Fresno Wildcats, Ilias Medios from SF Soldiers, Ibrahim Monawar from Prime Gold and Justin Familetti from San Jose Spartans. In the silver division, Lakeshow Elite defeated Port City to earn a silver division invitation to the Winter Challenge Cup. In the 5th grade gold division, Flight Elite Black defeated the San Jose Spartans 28-25 to earn the G365 Winter Challenge Cup invite. Kareem Jackson earned MVP honors. The 5th grade All-Tournament team also included, Daniel Ji from San Jose Spartans, Devin Gates from Palo Alto Flight, Ryan Sevilla from Infinite Training and Malakai Davis from Payton’s Place. In the silver division, Payton’s Place defeated Lakeshow Elite to earn a silver division invitation to the Winter Challenge Cup. In the 4th grade division, Palo Alto Flight defeated Bay Area Blitz 50-36 to earn the gold division Winter Challenge Cup invitation. Palo Alto Flight’s Dylan See earned MVP honors. The All-Tournament team also included, Christopher Walker from Port City, Rhys Robinson from Bay Area Blitz, RJ Buenaflor from Bay Area Eagles and Michael Travis from San Jose Spartans.
